Our Chat mod uses WebSocket technology which has better performance than HTTP protocol (using in CometChat). To enhance performance, the Chat service is designed to run in separated port and also support to configure port dynamically.
So, for our YN Chat module, we always propose our valued client to use VPS or dedicated server because some hosting providers doesn't allow to open port.
